Three-Way Proof of Consent for AI, Not Just a Preference
Rights Ledger records what was actually agreed — confirmed independently by the talent, their agency, and the AI company, timestamped, and built to hold up as real evidence. The confirmation is the gate to authorization, not a public declaration one party posts and hopes is respected.
The problem
Name, image, likeness, and voice are increasingly used in AI training and AI-generated content. Deals are negotiated informally — over email, over WhatsApp — with no structured, retrievable record of what was actually agreed: scope, duration, context of use, exclusions. When a dispute arises, or when proof of consent is needed for compliance, there is nothing organised to point to.
What Rights Ledger does
Consent preferences by use type
Individuals and their agencies record consent preferences — commercial advertising, AI training data, broadcast, editorial use, and others.
Three-way records — every party confirms
Every deal memo is confirmed independently by the talent, their agency, and the AI company. Each confirmation is a separate, timestamped, append-only event — an agency reporting a deal and the talent actually confirming it are visibly different things, never treated the same. Nothing is authorized until all three have confirmed.
The confirmation is the gate — not the contract
A deal memo is the native record of what was agreed; an external contract is optional. No use is valid until the memo is locked by all three confirmations, whether or not a separate contract exists.
Verifiable compliance certificate
Generates a verifiable compliance certificate for AI training consent, referencing the EU AI Act's transparency requirements effective August 2, 2026.
Data is never resold
Rights Ledger never resells individual consent data. AI companies get only what has been explicitly made queryable — nothing more.
Who it's for
Talent and modeling agencies
Managing rosters and recording consent on behalf of clients — one of three parties that confirm each deal.
Individual performers
Models, athletes, and voice artists confirming their own consent — the talent keeps the final say.
Brands and AI companies
A confirming party to every deal, not just a buyer — and the source of verifiable proof of consent before using someone’s likeness.
